How are we already on the last week of June?? Summer is already flying by, I hope you have been enjoying the sunshine, and activities that fill up this time of the year. Or are finally getting to relax some after the busyness of life. My favorite summertime activity is spending time at the river with my family and friends especially watching all my nephews enjoy it too, and of course smores at the campfire after dark. Hmmm maybe some new smore ideas for a Gazette Kitchen to come...

Newspaper:

Another newspaper is on the roster for this week with all kinds of good stuff. This week’s paper will feature the Burke Area Farmers Market kick off information, some local cowboys and cowgirls competing in rodeos, the music to be featured at the Burke Stampede Rodeo in July, and some more fun local happenings. Always feel free to send us a message if you have a story idea or an event coming up!

Details for Dog Days 2023 are beginning to fall into place! A reminder that the alumni weekend will take place August 4-5-6. Events we are aware of so far include the Alumni Golf Tournament on Friday, the parade on Saturday, which will remain at 11:30 AM to accommodate some afternoon events, the wine reception, which will be held at 4:30 PM, and the Alumni Banquet at 5:30 PM on Saturday evening. Details for many other events are still being worked out. Watch future issues of The Burke Gazette for a complete list of Dog Days 2023 activities!

Please Note:

With the 4th of July holiday next Tuesday there will be an EARLY deadline to get things in the newspaper. Please have your items to me by Friday, June 30th. We are closed on Fridays, but if you leave a message or drop something in the door slot I will still receive it. We will then be closed on Tuesday, July 4th. Thanks for your understanding and have a great 4th of July!

Print is Forever:

Print Projects I’m working on this week: wedding invites, business cards, and designing some stickers. I'll be putting out some more accessible information on what print services we provide soon. If you have any questions or project ideas never hesitate to reach out and ask! What’s a print project I could help you with, or that would simplify your life?!

Store Items:
