Season’s Greetings from the Gazette!
The holidays are here — the twinkle lights are lit in the shop, the tree has gone up, and Burke is feeling extra warm and wonderful.
My family is headed to the hills this year, for a central location for our out of state family that we don't see as often. Holidays have become more magical and busier for me with adding Frankie to our crew, and I love it.

At the Herrick Dance Hall opening in October, I had lost my sight on Frankie for just a moment and out of the corner of my eye I glanced to the dance floor and saw her sitting right in the middle just listening to the music. It showed me just how magical things are through their eyes, through all the hustle and bustle she was just slowing down and enjoying the music. A reminder of what I need to do more often this holiday season.
But before things get really festive, here’s a little holiday-season roundup from our corner of Main Street.
What We’ve Been Up To
The stretch from Thanksgiving to Christmas always brings out the best kind of hustle, and this year is no different. Lately we’ve been:
Sending out stacks of custom Christmas cards
Staying up to date with all the local events in between sports seasons, and getting our next stories ready
Helping families, businesses, and events with all kinds of print needs
Turning the shop into a mini holiday market (with sparkle… everywhere)

A Holiday Weekend Highlight
Mark your calendar — our Holiday Open House is this Saturday, November 29th!
Fran will be baking up her famous treats (trust us, you’ll want to grab one early), and we’ll have the shop looking its festive best. Stop in, browse, nibble, and soak up the holiday cheer.
In the Newspaper
This week’s edition is packed with small town Thanksgiving spirit, community updates, moments of gratitude, and the stories that make Burke, Burke.
Have a holiday tradition or family story worth sharing? We’d love to feature it.
And if you’re not on our full-color Tuesday email list yet, now’s the perfect time, send a quick message and we’ll get you signed up.
