Calling All Alumni!

Dog Days 2023 is here! Woohoo! I always have a burst of energy before this weekend, when the excitement of everyone rolling into town hits I just can’t sit still in the office. It’s busy getting the paper out, and final things printed for events, but it’s truly so fun. The weekend always just reminds how far and wide the love of Burke spreads. It’s always great to catch up with friends and alumni and hear everyone’s favorite memories of our awesome hometown.

Here are a couple pictures of my 5-year reunion in 2019. The class of 2014!! (We celebrate our 10-year celebration next year) Yes I know we haven’t gone too far from high school yet. Send me some of your favorite reunion throwbacks and I’ll post them to our social media!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe weekend! Can’t wait to see you!

Reminder I will have extended hours this week Friday 9-2, Saturday morning until the parade and for a little bit after the parade. I would love to have you stop in and say hey and check out the renovated space! Make sure to take a photo of your reunions, and send them to me at theburkegazette@gmail.com so I can feature them in next week’s issue!

Stay tuned on our socials for some fun alumni spotlights!

Newspaper: This week we have the schedule of Dog Days events, some extra reminders for the weekend, some updates from the school remodel, and some great donations. It’s a good one so make sure to check it out!

Print: For the Alumni Banquet place mats this year the honored classes were “3” – ‘23, ’33, ’43 etc. I worked on those and got them printed earlier in the week. It’s always fun to go through all the classes and make new connections.

Store Items: Dog Days shirts will be here Wednesday afternoon, and you can stop in and pick them up anytime during office hours. I will make sure to post that they are ready to grab!
