Woofta what a week last week was! The Burke Stampede keeps me busy the week before the big show and I love it! The Burke Stampede is always a family affair for us. Pictured the Kenzys, Suttons and Bradys (my sister's in-laws) all having a rip roarin’ time together. It was a beautiful weekend all around. The hustle and bustle of Dog Days is next on the list, getting everything ready for the weekend takes a village and I can’t wait to celebrate everything Burke!
A reminder that I am closed this week on Thursday, July 20th. Note I will have extended hours during Dog Days for anyone who would like to stop in or if you need to grab your shirt order. I will be open Friday, August 4th until 2:00 and I will be open Saturday morning until the parade and for a little bit after the parade too.
Newspaper: This week shows a debut of a new beautiful mural on Main Street, Dog Days updates, and a great report from our Crop Watcher Avery Zeisler. Reminder to send me any updates you want listed in the Dog Days events, and to take pictures at your reunion and events to send me for the paper the week after Dog Days.
Print is Forever: Every year I layout and print 2500 programs for the big rodeo and it’s always a fun project I work closely on with Renee Sutton. We start about a month before and meet weekly to finalize the details. Then on Tuesday night the week of the rodeo I get the names of the contestants and pop them in place and run with printing. Now I will get back to everyday printing, while finishing up some Dog Days items. If you are waiting on something from me, I will be getting to it this week and next thanks for your patience.
Gazette Store: We are at the last couple days to get Dog Days shirt orders in. Pre-orders close tomorrow night Wednesday, July 19th. Pictured are the four options available for ordering. You can place an order on the website here under Burke Merch, give me a call, or stop in. Shirts will be here Dog Days weekend and will be available for pick up. We can also ship them if you will not be in Burke for a while. Get your orders in because there will not be a lot of size options in store. Shoot me a message if you have any questions!
